sometimes i feel like i have friends, like there are people that enjoy my company.
this illusion is usually shattered pretty quickly.
really, i enjoy sitting home all day by myself. i enjoy not having anyone to talk to besides my dog, and occasionally my boyfriend. it's really nice.
i love hearing about all the awesome things my friends have been doing. really.
not that i discriminate people or make friends based upon their beliefs, but where are all the sober vegan kids? oh yeah, in hawaii there are about 4 of them. i want to be able to go out with people and have lots of fun, but i feel like in most situations where going out is available to me, it involves being around lots of drunk people.
i don't mind that some people drink, i'm not trying to stop them. but i just do not want to be around it. there is not even anywhere to go to have fun that doesn't involve drinking.
chinatown=bars

and i pretty much suck, because i don't like dancing, or 80's music.
what's wrong with me? i don't know.
i'm just a loser i guess.
and i hate that the only day that "fun" is allowed to happen in my group of "friends" is on sundays. i am sick of it.
it would be nice to make some friends at school, but i am an awkward shithead, that is so stupid shy in front of large groups of people, everyone usually thinks i am a stuck up bitch. which i don't really think i am, but then again, do stuck up bitches know they are stuck up bitches? who knows..
basically this post was just to assert how happy i am with my life at this point. i love going to school all summer, i love working all the time, i love not having a life, i love not having friends.
it's not like anyone even reads this anyways..
and if they did, what difference would it make?

So the other night after work, Mia and I headed to china town for a night of fun with Anny Lou and Kelli. We hung out at Manifest. Some creepy dude was there in a blue shirt. But it was fun. James rode his bike down, and then we walked home together. I guess the rest of the ladies ended up at Smith's later in the night for karaoke, but I'm a grandma.
Of course in the one picture of all of us, I am making the stupidest goofy grin ever.

new addition.
Last week, James and I adopted a dog from the Humane Society. We had been hoping to get a puppy from another rescue out in Pearl City, but we went to the Humane Society just to see who was there. There was this cute little dog that was called Henry. We spent some time with him, he tried to pee on James twice, and loved to sit in my lap. Even though we liked him, he didn't seem to interested in us, so we left.
The next morning I got an email from the lady at the other animal rescue and she said that the puppy we had been looking at online was already 20 lbs. (way too big for our apartment). So I went back to the Humane Society just for fun and saw Henry again. This time he was so excited to see me, he ran to the door of his cage wagging his tail the most and giving me kisses. Soooo... I adopted him.
He had been a stray on Maui, and they said they think that he was abused before that. (They send over little dogs from Maui, because I guess everyone over there wants big dogs). He is a 5 year old poi dog. He is very underweight, all of his ribs visible, and his little hip bones too. But we are gonna fatten him up in no time. Since he had been a stray, they were just calling him Henry at the Humane Society, and he didn't know that as his name yet, so we got to give him a name. After talking about it all afternoon and naming random things and whatever came to mind, we decided on Kentucky. Full name, Kentucky Good Lookin'.
He is a very good dog, he only had a couple of accidents the first couple days, but now he is completely potty trained (besides peeing on a guy at the dog park the other day), and he loves James and I. All he wants to do is cuddle and be in our laps. He likes to be outside too. He is perfect. He has energy when we are outside doing fun things, or playing. But when we are at home relaxing, he just cuddles.

haiku stairs, stairway to heaven.
after behave yourself's first show, we climbed the haiku stairs (stairway to heaven) at 2:30 in the morning! we made it to the top at around 4:30-5am i think. it was amazing, and i wish i had taken photos of the trip up in the dark. when we got to the top we set up camp in the little building up there. that consisted of a tarp on the ground and all of us in a pile, eating soup that rob and toby heated up via their camp stoves, and blankets!
julie & her soup! this girl just came into our lives yesterday, and she is so rad. so excited to hang out with her more!
kelli caterpillar mercado.
boys eating bread.
"and we will sleep in a real pile!" -where the wild things are.
BEHAVE YOURSELF'S FIRST SHOW!
